"ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LIVING IN THE COUNTRY"

Nowadays, as the ecological situation in cities gets worse and worse and they become more and more populated appears a question: "To move or not to move to peaceful and spacious countryside?"

Living in the country can be very advantageous. First of all it is nature. In the rural area one can enjoy fresh air and beautiful nature 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, what is impossible in the city. Moreover, one can produce healthy fruits and vegetables. Second, there is a lot of space in the countryside unlike in the cities. One can have as much space for his family and his activities as he needs.

However, living in the rural area has certain disadvantages. First, it is the lack of diversity. In the country usually the population is quite limited what makes it rather difficult for one to communicate with big variety of people on regular basis and to find people who would share his interests. Second, in the country one cannot enjoy cultural life on regular basis as usually in the rural area there are no museums, art galleries, music concerts and other cultural activities. Moreover, it is hard to find well-paid job or good school there, so one will have to spend a lot of time to get to job or to bring up a child to school, what takes a lot of energy.

To sum it up, one the one hand life in the rural area has strong advantages, on the other it has certain shortcomings. So one should choose for himself whether to move or not to move to the country depending on his life goals. Country is certainly not for career-conscious people or lovers of city life, but for people who prefer quite and peaceful family life.
