Exploitation of Equipment in Oil Pumping Stations.

The nomenclature and operational performance of mechanical and energy equipment used for oil pumping through pipelines are discussed. Also given is the main information concerning the organization of exploitation of equipment and engineering constructions together with the problems concerning planning works on technical maintenance and repair, and the problems of monitoring operation of station equipment and systems. The ways to raise the efficiency of main and supporting pumping plants are considered; the area for implementing regulated pump drives is analyzed.

Attention is given to the discussion of problems concerning the determination of equipment reliability factors, the basic principles of automation in oil pumping stations, and working capacity and safety in stations removed from operation for a while.

Advisable for engineers and technicians dealing with the problems of technical exploitation of equipment in oil pumping stations at main pipelines. Also useful for students those studying problems of pipeline oil transportation.
