The characteristics of the oil pipelines′ exploitation area together with maintenance characteristics of the active oil pipelines in West Siberian region are given. The problems on calculating tensely deformed state of linear pipeline parts under complicated laying conditions, such as underwater crossing and going over stamps, are considered. Also given are the results of the investigation of pipelines′ material with various operational life times and the factors that have an influence on the variation of metal′s strength performance. Attention is given to forecasting operational longevity of linear pipeline parts with regard to low-cycle load.

Advisable for engineering and technical personnel engaged in maintenance, repairung, and reconstruction of linear pipelines parts. Also interesting to students and post-graduate students at higher educational institutes specializing in maintenance and repair of oil pipelines.
