TSIS PROJECT GUIDELINES
Developed by B.Jolamanova
Project title: Writing a technical research paper
Goal: increasing students’ professional English language proficiency, enhancing linguistic and academic research skills as well as overall process of acquiring knowledge.
Participants: individual
Project output: Power Point slides + technical research paper, briefly describing any kind of research done by students in other subjects (laboratory works, projects, course papers, and so on).
Paper structure:
1. Introductory part: Title page; Abstract, Table of Contents, Introduction.
2. Main body: Literature review; Materials and Procedures; Results; Discussion.
3. Concluding part: Conclusion; References; Appendices.
Paper volume: 7 pages (1 – title page, 1 – Table of Contents, 3 – body, 1 - introduction, 1 – conclusion and references).
Format: word-processed, Times New Roman 12 script, A4 paper, double-spaced, no ‘tab” for new paragraphs, on the one side of the page only, 2 cm margin at the top and bottom, 3 cm on the left and 1cm on the right side of each page, IEEE documentation style.
