TEXT 1. MY FAMILY
My family is quite large. I have a father, a mother, a brother and a sister. We all live together in Krasnoyarsk.
My father's name is Igor. He is 45 years old. He is a tall and well-built man with short black hair and grey eyes. He works at a big plant as an engineer. He likes his work and spends most of his time there. By character my father is a quiet man, while my mother is energetic and talkative. Her name is Olga. She is a teacher of English. My sister's name is Lisa. Like her mother she has blue eyes and lovely fair hair. She is a very good-looking girl. Lisa is three years younger than me. She is a pupil of the 9th form. She does well at school and gets only good and excellent marks. My name is Max. Last year I left school and entered the University.
Our family is very united. We like to spend time together. In the evenings we watch TV, read books and newspapers, listen to music or just talk about the events of the day. All of us like to spend our week-ends out of town. We often go to the village where our grandparents live. They are old-age pensioners now but prefer to live in the country.
I also have many other relatives: uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. We are happy when we are together.
Моя семья довольно многочисленная. У меня есть отец, мать, брат и сестра. Все мы живем вместе в Красноярске.
Моего отца зовут Игорь. Ему 45 лет. Он - высокий и хорошо сложенный человек с короткими темными волосами и серыми глазами. Он работает на большом заводе инженером. Он любит свою работу и проводит большую часть своего времени там. Характер моего отца - спокойный, в то время как моя мать энергичная и болтливая. Ее зовут Ольга. Она - учительница английского языка. Мою сестру зовут Лайза. Как и у матери, у нее голубые глаза и прекрасные светлые волосы. Она - очень красивая девочка. Лайза на три года младше меня. Она - ученица 9-го класса. Она преуспевает в школе и получает только хорошие и отличные отметки. Меня зовут Максим. В прошлом году я закончил школу и поступил в университет.
Наша семья очень дружная. Нам нравится проводить время вместе. По вечерам мы смотрим телевизор, читаем книги и газеты, слушаем музыку или просто говорим о событиях дня. Всем нам нравится проводить наши выходные за городом. Мы часто ездим в деревню, где живут наши бабушка и дедушка. Они – пенсионеры, но предпочитают жить в стране.
У меня также есть много других родственников: дяди, тети, кузены и много друзей. Мы счастливы, когда мы вместе.

My sister's name is Arina. Like her mother she has brown eyes. Arina is 6 years old. She is a pupil of the 1st form. She does well at school and gets only excellent marks. My name is Nastia. In this year I entered the University.
Our family is very united. We like to spend time together. We often go to the village where our grandparents live.
We are happy when we are together.
