Topic “Job satisfaction” presentation (second version)

High technologies help to run business more efficiently, but there is a maximum of technological efficiency and only investments in human factor can higher firm profits.

Employees work better when they are satisfied with their job. Lots of surveys tried to find key-factor of making employee satisfied and now I’m presenting you my opinion:

Everyone say that money is a key factor. I cannot agree, because money is the main but not only key-factor. For example, there is a level of salary when employee says that it’s enough and doesn’t want to work overtime for earning more. In Russia it’s about 500$.

So, this effect is called “work/life balance”. Firm may have workaholic employees and lazy employees, but they are exceptions and normal employee wants to keep work and not to burn out.

There are some things that could balance it. For example, when firm pays for life-insurance, gives company car to decrease commuting time and some other bonuses and good working conditions.

And the final factor that I’ve remembered is work title. Good work title helps employee not to feel discomfort naming it. For example: typist is “Digital Data Executive”, filing clerk is “Data Storage Specialist”, etc. In Russia good work title will help employee to get good job in the future.

So I’ve told you about importance of job satisfaction and main factors to make employee job-satisfied.
