Anne Sémonin - The Product
It is considered France’s most fashionable beauty firm. Anne Sémonin has been practising the beauty business for years and the late Princess Grace of Monaco was one of her most loyal customers. Nowdays, the princess’s daughters have continued the royal patronage and Karen Mulder, Christie Brinkley, Bruce Willis and Isabelle Adjani are now also
among her fans. Anne Sémonin, the exclusive parisian skincare guru, pioneered her effective
holistic beauty approach over twelve years ago. Creator, perfectionist and visionary, Anne Sémonin expertly utilises the vital forces of fresh herbs, plants, and seaweed to reawaken the senses to the
excellent therapeutic benefits of natural products for beauty and well-being. A great testament to the success of her products, Anne Sémonin has made it her business for her highly trained team to practice in the most exclusive spas in Europe.
Her exclusive products in use and for sale at Oceania Spa, are created from only natural ingredients in unique formulations and during
treatments are personalised for each customer with optimum trace elements and essential oils. Professionals who are experts in their field, and
in accordance with precise technical protocols have developed all the treatments and massages. The Anne Sémonin products are based on natural ingredients in the maximum concentrations allowed. They are formulated using innovative procedures, in collaboration with dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons.
Philosophy of beauty
In 1986, Anne Sémonin was the first brand to combine trace elements with essential oils and developed a series of treatments based on a holistic and personalized approach to beauty, using natural ingredients. The
Anne Sémonin Concept has three parts; an Aromatherapy Line, a Methodology, a Spa Environment, and it is this trilogy that allows for a holistic approach to beauty. Anne Sémonin considers each individual as unique and designs her treatments as genuine rituals. These
bespoke treatments will not only revitalise the skin but energise and balance the mind and spirit providing total relaxation.
Apivita – The Product
The Oceania Club has signed an agreement with Apivita,
a 25-year-old Greek beauty force which has recently launched its aromatherapy Spa range. The name Apivita comes from the Latin words apis (bee) and vita (life), which sums up the identity and philosophy of the
products and the spa treatments at Oceania Spa. This is a natural cosmetic range for the face and body that works holistically to stimulate the senses. Apivita was the first company to use and promote aromatherapy in Greece and the core ingredients used are from essential oils gathered mainly from organically grown plants native to Greek flora. The Apivita aromatherapy products use titrated plant extracts mainly from grapes, thyme, rosemary, cedar, olives and local fauna combining them in active synergistic complexes with proven anti-wrinkle, firming and anti-aging action.
Plain water has been replaced by green tea water extract,
produced by a special extraction method, which is an exclusive innovation of the Apivita laboratories and enhances the effectiveness of all the Apivita products. Green Tea Water
is known for its antioxidant, anti-irritant, skin-toning and moisturising properties. Apivita products can be found in UK
(Harrods), Spain (El Corte Inglés), Taiwan (APIVITA SHOP), U.S. (Bath & Body Works, Nordstrom, C.O. Bigelow,
Fred Segal) and soon in China and Japan.
Philosophy of beauty
The rich biodiversity of the Greek flora and the mild Mediterranean climate are responsible for the highly beneficial properties of Apivita’s extracts. Some of the plants like the mastic of Chios and the dittany of Crete are unique in Greece. Apivita is the
only company in Greece that possesses the know-how to produce premium extracts. The quality, safety and efficiency of the products are achieved due to the expertise and scientific knowledge of the innovative research and development department.
Apivita offers a holistic beauty treatment approach, addressing all of the skin’s needs through the synergy of a wide variety of bioactive plant ingredients contained in the rich formulas. Its pure essential oils improve the mood and enhance wellbeing, bringing out one’s inner beauty.

LOCATION
Oceania Club is located in the traditional Greek town of Nea Moudania in Halkidiki, a natural bay with breathtaking views over the Aegean sea and the Olympus mountain, where the suns shines over 200 days per year. The distance from the Thessaloniki International airport is only 30 minutes.
The second city of Greece and the capital of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, is packed with
theatres, clubs, an International Film Festival, two contemporary art museums, galleries, designer shops and more coffee places than anywhere else in the EU. The theatres and coffee shops are thronged with students - this being the biggest university town in the Balkans; the walk along the shore of Thermaikos gulf is buzzing and offers a great chance to experience the ambience of the city and its people.
Furthermore, Vergina, the birthplace of Alexander the Great is just two hours away and so are the glorious but unspoiled beaches of Kassandra and Sithonia peninsula. And for those really in the mood
for meditation and complete
relaxation you could round off your stay in one of the monasteries of nearby Mount Athos.

HALKIDIKI
Kassandra, Sithonia, Mt Athos
Halkidiki peninsula lies around 69km south-east of the northern port city of Thessaloniki, which is the second biggest city in Greece and a financial and cultural centre of the Balkan area. Halkidiki is divided into three long "fingers" which stretch out into the Aegean Sea - namely the areas of Kassandra, Sithonia and Mt Athos. Located within the region of
Macedonia, its winding coastline is marked by four sizeable
gulfs - the Thermaic Gulf to the west, the Gulf of Orfanou to the east as well as the Gulf of Toroni and the Mt Athos Gulf in the south. The three "prongs" cover a landmass measuring 2,945 square kilometres and are home to a population of around 79,000.
Halkidiki can be accessed by road, or by air through Thessaloniki's International
airport. Several domestic flights connect Thessaloniki with the other major Greek cities and the islands, while frequent charter flights arrive from abroad.
The state-run KTEL offers a daily coach service from Athens to Thessaloniki and from there
to Kassandra and Sithonia, while local buses transport visitors between inland villages and coastal resorts. Trains are also available from Athens to Thessaloniki.
Kassandra is the most developed from a tourist perspective, of the three peninsulas, as high-standard hotels abound, water sports are offered, the entertainment is non-stop and most facilities are available.
Take an early morning dip in the crystal clear sea and then spend the rest of the day to discover the area's significant historical monuments, amongst them castles, monasteries and churches - testimony of the great civilisations that where hosted on the land.
Sithonia, is Kassandra's untamed sister. A place that has managed to retain its wild beauty and spirit and proves to be irresistible to lovers of

the great outdoors. Climb its highest peak, Mt Dragoudelis (811m), and enjoy a magnificent view over the whole of Sithonia peninsula, with the conical Mt Athos visible to the east and Kassandra to the west.
Tiny beach coves abound, their waters a mix of deep blues and emerald green. In the south, at Kartalia, bearded vultures make their nests on sheer seaside cliffs. Tourist resorts are developing rapidly, offering an attractive alternative to Kassandra.
Mount Athos, known as the Holy Mountain, is home to a semiautonomous, all-male monastic community. Mt Athos is the centre of the global Orthodox religion - an area of mysticism, contemplation, and isolation. The monasteries operate in much the same manner as they have for over 1,000 years. The 1,500 inhabitants of the monasteries keep Byzantine time and they use the Julian
calendar. Of the 20 monasteries, 17 are Greek and the other three are Russian, Bulgarian and Serbian.
A maximum of 120 Greek Orthodox and 10 foreign visitors per day are allowed onto this sacred land. However, a decree
issued in the mid-11th century prohibits women from entering the world's sole monastic state. Visitors may tour Mt. Athos
by using the ancient stonepaved paths that lead from one monastery to another. However they are advised to travel in groups or with a guide, since the dense vegetation has grown over many of the paths and the signposting is poor.
Another traditional way to tour the mountain is by riding a mule. Mules and horses can be hired at Karyes (the capital) and come with drivers who are well acquainted with the routes on the mountains. Apart from visiting the monasteries,
Driving Directions
For highway navigation from Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) to Oceania Club
another possibility open to visitors is the ascent of Mt Athos itself (2,033 meters), which has an incredible view. The climb begins at the Skete of St Anne. The port town of Ouranoupoli marks the point at which secular Mt Athos ends and the monastic republic begins. From there, boats leave for the monasteries, most of which are isolated from one another.
