Разница между прилагательным и наречием:

Прилагательное отвечает на вопрос "какой?" "какая?" "какое?" "какие?"

Например: Красивое платье --> платье какое? - красивое.

Наречие отвечает на вопрос "как?" "на сколько?"

Например: Он разговаривает тихо ---> разговаривает как? -тихо

Этот студент чрезвычайно трудолюбивый ---> трудолюбивый на сколько? – чрезвычайно

Прилагательное определяет существительное или местоимение

Красивое (прилагательное) платье (существительное)

Наречие определяет глагол или прилагательное

Он разговаривает (глагол) тихо (наречие)

чрезвычайно (наречие) трудолюбивый (прилагательное)

Прилагательные:

A big dog is on his way. - Большая собака на его пути. 

Today is a great day. - Сегодня прекрасный день.

Your hands are аs cold аs ice. - У тебя руки (такие же) холодные, как лед.

Наречия:

They walk quickly. - Они идут быстро. 

This exercise is incredibly difficult. - Это упражнение невероятно трудное.

You did really well. - Ты все сделал действительно хорошо.

Fortunately, we found the way. - К счастью, мы нашли дорогу. 

I will talk to you tomorrow, probably. - Я поговорю с тобой завтра, наверное.
