Тема 26. Инфинитивные конструкции Сложное дополнение

I want him to test the machine. Я хочу, чтобы он протестировал механизм.

I expect her to make the calculations. Я ожидаю, что она выполнит расчеты.

I know them to be promising scientists. Я знаю, что они перспективные ученые.

После глаголов чувственного восприятия to see, to hear, to feel, etc. инфинитив употребляется без частицы to!

I saw her dance. Я видел, как она танцует.

I heard him sing. Я слышал, как он поет.

I felt them tremble. Я чувствовал, как они дрожат.

Task 1. Переведите на русский язык, обращая внимание на сложное дополне-ние.

1. My sister wanted me to wait for her after classes. 2. I’d like the doctor to examine him. 3. I don’t want her to know about it. 4. We know him to be a good scientist. 5. I don’t want them to be late. 6. She didn’t want me to go to Moscow. 7. I knew them to be a beautiful couple. 8. I know my friend to be a just person. 9. We know it to be true. 10. I expect the letter to come tomorrow. 11. I know her to be a talented designer. 12. I like children to laugh. 13. I know you to be a good boss. 14. You expect the exam to be rescheduled. 15. We expect you to help us. 16. We wanted this work to be done in time. 17. We consider him to be right. 18. The photographer expected the customers to enjoy photos. 19. We expected her to organize the wedding. 20. He expected them to carry out the contract.

Task 2. Перепишите предложения, используя сложное дополнение вместо придаточных дополнительных предложений.

1. I expect that she will send me a letter. 2. I know that he is a remarkable architect. 3. He knows that my mother is good at cooking. 4. I expect that the party will be great. 5. He supposes that they will buy his car. 6. She considers we are perfect guides. 7. We know that you will perform soon. 8. She expects that he will invite her to a restaurant. 9. The teacher considers that the students will fail at exams. 10. I suppose that they are fond of computer games.

Task 3. Переведите на русский язык, обращая внимание на сложное дополнение с глаголами чувственного восприятия.

1. Have you heard him sing a new song? 2. We noticed our neighbour open the door of his flat. 3. I felt him touch my shoulder. 4. We saw the children play football. 5. I saw her slip and fall. 6. Task 4. Закончите предложения, используя сложное дополнение.

Task 6. Переведите на русский язык, обращая внимание на сложное дополнение с глаголами make (заставлять) и let (позволять).

Task 7. Перефразируйте предложения, используя сложное дополнение.
