About the author

ANETTE SAMS (1971) is a pharmacist with a PhD from the University of
Copenhagen.
After fifteen years as a medical researcher, manager, and director at Novo Nordisk,
Anette Sams left her job to enlighten Danes about the body’s own biological “health
switches” that can help combat obesity, unwanted inflammation, and lifestyle diseases.
Among other things, this has led to four best-selling books, including one that has
previously been translated into English, namely The Truth About Sugar, published by
Gyldendal.
Alongside her work as an author and health advocate, Anette Sams works for a
company developing new treatments for serious cardiovascular diseases.
