Handbook of 3D Printing in Pharmaceutics
Medical device production systems (MDPS) are a novel statutory concepts exclusively meant for healthcare for customized production of patient- matched devices.
An overview of a decision tree by the regulatory authority for personalized medical
devices is represented in Figure 12.2.
12.6 CONCLUSION
At this present moment, 3DP devices are regularized similarly to the ones designed by
conventional strategies. This statuatory substructure should be applicable despite the
fact that 3DP devices are employed immediately after production, without allowing for
extended quality- control procedures. The FDA has amended the guidance documents
on 3DP. The Australian agency has already paved the way for superior regulations,
and the guidelines within the EU need to be brought up to date. The investigations
and laws of 3DP is to be fostered in the mere future. The laws on intellectual property
need to be specied and regulated to withhold offences and mistreatments for not- forprot applications. The potential of 3DP for creating customized pharmaceuticals is
undeniable; regardless of how, machine diversications are basic for proper pharmaceutical use. Furthermore, within- reach fabrication methods are worthwhile for
public safety and efcient treatment procedures, and making their path into the commercial market by collaborative actions of regulation and patent authorities should
collaborate with businesses.
