Учебное пособие «Basic Topics for General English» направлено на совершенствование иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся высших учебных заведений.

Учебное пособие состоит из трех тематических разделов (units), в которых раскрывается содержание актуальных для повседневного общения тем: “Me and people around me” (Я и мое окружение), “Leisure time and hobbies” (Досуг и хобби), “Education” (Образование).

Каждый раздел учебного пособия включает в себя тематическую лексику, аутентичные тексты и задания на развитие коммуникативных умений во всех видах речевой деятельности (говорении, аудировании, чтении и письме). Учебное пособие обогащено подкастами англоязычного радио, содержание которых приобщает обучающихся к реалиям стран изучаемого языка. Каждый тематический раздел заканчивается рубрикой “Job interview conversation” (Собеседование), ориентированной на развитие навыков самопрезентации в рамках тем общения.

Учебное пособие может быть использовано как на аудиторных занятиях, так и для организации самостоятельной работы студентов.

ВВЕДЕНИЕ

Изучение иностранного языка как средства межкультурного общения является неотъемлемой частью общеобразовательной профессиональной подготовки будущего специалиста.

Предлагаемое учебное пособие разработано согласно рабочей программе дисциплины «Иностранный язык», относящейся к базовому циклу дисциплин и имеющей своей целью совершенствование иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся высших учебных заведений.

Достижение данной цели реализуется в процессе решения следующих задач:

•развитие коммуникативных умений во всех видах речевой деятельности (говорении, аудировании, чтении и письме);

•приобщение к реалиям стран изучаемого языка в рамках тем общения;

•формирование умений самопрезентации в условиях межкультурного общения;

•формирование потребности изучения иностранного языка и освоение способов и приемов его самостоятельного изучения с использованием информационных технологий.

Учебное пособие состоит из трех тематических разделов ( units),

вкоторых раскрывается содержание актуальных для повседневного общения тем: “Me and people around me”, “My leisure time and hobbies” и “Education”.

В учебном пособии большое внимание уделяется говорению и аудированию. Содержание учебного пособия, обогащенное аутентичными диалогами, представленными в открытом доступе на сайте bbc.co.uk/learningenglish.com, приобщает обучающихся к реалиям стран изучаемого языка.

Каждый тематический раздел заканчивается рубрикой “Job interview conversation”, ориентированной на развитие навыков самопрезентации в рамках тем общения.

Предлагаемое учебное пособие предназначено для обучающихся первого курса и может быть использовано как на аудиторных занятиях, так и для организации самостоятельной работы.
