You are a representative on a committee which is helping to plan The Paradise Centre, a new luxury leisure centre near your home.

If The Paradise Centre is successful it will provide a place where people will be able to go not only to play sports but also for general entertainment and to meet people with similar hobbies. It also aims to be a health and beauty centre. It intends to cater or all ages — from 5 to 85 — and all tastes!

1.Work in groups. Look at the poster headings below and discuss what facilities you want to offer. Be as original as you can. Remember your aim is to please a wide variety of people with different interests and of different ages.

2.Make decisions about what rules and regulations there will be, as well as practical matters such as how much it will cost to be a member, and what the opening hours will be.

3.Appoint a chairperson to organise the discussion and record any decisions taken. Then design a poster advertising The Paradise Centre.

4.Compare your plan for The Paradise Centre with other groups' plans, and vote on the best one.
