Michael is famous for being very self-confident but the media call him arrogant. He loves winning but he has a fiery temper and has been in fights with other drivers.   • Most importantly, he adores playing alongside Zinedine Zidane and the rest of the Real Madrid team. He is paid $5 million a year plus sponsorship money.

  • Being a brilliant footballer is a very rare skill. Football is big business. Being a highly-paid footballer doesn't last long. Their career is short, its a stressful job that controls their life.

  • On the 19th of April 1987 a new tennis star was born in the North of Tyumen Region in Nyagan. At the age of four this person picked up a racket and started playing tennis.

  • In 1992 was spotted at an Exhibition Tournament in Moscow by tennis legend Martina Navratilova who recommends her Nick Bollettieri’s Tennis Academy in Bradenton (Florida/USA). She with her father decided to follow Martina's advise and moved in 1995 to Miami (USA), and joined the Bollettieri's Academy. These were hard times for the young girl, which started a two-year separation from her mother who was left-behind in Russia because of visa restrictions and the family's financial situation. On her 14th birthday she turned professional.

  • She is interested in reading, fashion, dancing, stamp collecting and watching movies – her favorite movie is Pearl Harbor. In 2002 she reaches the final of the Junior Australian Open, and enters the WTA world rankings at Number 532. At the end of the year she rushes the rankings at No. 186!

  • She also won her first titles at the WTA tour in Japan and Quebec. She ended the year 2003 ranked 32. 2004 is the year of this person, the 6ft tall Russian beauty reached the third round of the Australian Open where she sadly lost from another Russian, Anastasia Myshkina. A few months later this person was the shining star at Wimbledon.

  • In 2004 she was ranked 9 on the WTA World rankings and now she hopes to be No.1.

  • This person is known for her remarkable flexibility, which she says she was simply born with. She began rhythmic gymnastics at the age of five in Uzbekistan.

  • Her coach, Irina Viner, predicted that her relatively unknown student would be an Olympic champion in 2000. She won four of five gold medals at the 1998 Goodwill Games, including the all-around competition. In 1999 she defended her European title and won her first world championship.

  • After being introduced to Viner by her mother, she was invited to attend the Olympic Preparatory School in Moscow, where Viner became her full-time coach.

  • She has dominated the sport so much lately that Russian teammate Yana Batyrshina, the reigning Olympic silver medalist, retired last year, saying there was no point in her continuing since no one would top the young champion in 2000.
