The thematic module 3.

A general anesthesiology and intensive therapy

Practical employment # 12

Theme: General anesthesia

I. Actuality of theme.

Today, from 85 to 90 % operative interferences executed under the general anaesthetizing. This method has a row of substantial advantages before a toponarcosis and allows to execute any on volume, by character and duration operative interferences. The students of 3rd course must be got base knowledges on this topic, so as they are needed for the study of surgery and anesthesiology on senior courses and practical activity of surgens and anaesthetists.

II. Purpose of the lesson:

1. To know determination of concept, terminology, classification and types of the general anaesthetizing (=II).

2. To know the theories of anesthesia, preparation of patients to anesthesia, chart of premedication (=II).

3. To know the mechanism of action of narcotic preparations and muscular relaxants (=II).

4. To know the method of leadthrough of mask narcosis, its clinical stages, and also methods of leadthrough intratracheal, intravenous, intramascular narcoses (=II).

5. To know vehicles and instruments for anesthesia, instruments for intubation of trachea and method of implementation of it (=II).

6. To know complication of anesthesia, care of patients under time and after anesthesia (=II).

7. Method of introduction of air-duct(=III).

8. Method of sanitation of overhead respiratory tracts by electro-exhaust (=III).
