What is a magistrate's court?
The World Court is the very first link in the system of courts of general jurisdiction, which considers the simplest disputes and issues among the population.
The justice of the Peace considers in the first instance:
1)criminal cases of crimes for which the maximum penalty does not exceed three years of imprisonment
2)cases on the issuance of a court order;
3)divorce cases, if there is no dispute about children between the spouses;
4)cases on the division of jointly acquired property between spouses at a claim price not exceeding fifty thousand rubles;
Procedure for the appointment of magistrates
Justices of the peace are appointed (elected) to the position by the legislative (representative) body of state power of the subject of the Russian Federation or are elected to the position by the population of the relevant judicial precinct in accordance with the procedure established by the law of the subject of the Russian Federation.
