A few minutes before the execution the king feels sorry for the jester and tells him that he will pardon him if he makes such an excuse that will be more impudent than the insult itself. A few days later another man looking very rich comes to the shop. He sees the violin and is very surprised. He says: “This is Stradivarius! Give the young man two hundred dollars for it! And you can have fifty dollars if you help me to buy it for me!”

When the poor young man comes to the shop, the shop-assistant gives him two hundred dollars for his violin. But the rich man doesn’t come back! The shop-assistant takes the violin to a specialist.
