WARM-UP

  1. Game "Question Tennis Game"

Divide the class into two teams. Team A asks a question or Team B: “Do you like ...?” or “Does (Max) like ...?” Team В gives a full answer. They then ask Team A a question. Teams take turns in this way and score points for correct questions and answers.

PRESENTATION

  1. Complete the tables and write them down in your exercise books (p. 38, ex. 1).

Revise the tables “The Present Continuous Tense” and “The Present Simple Tense».

Copy the tables from the book on the board too.

Tell pupils they are going to complete these tables in their exercise books.

Complete the tables and pay pupils’ attention to difficult moments in spelling.

PRACTICE

  1. Ann and Dan are having a rest in the village. Look at the picture and read two lists below. Write sentences as in the example (p. 39, ex. 2).

Read aloud the instruction and check that pupils understand what to do.

Ask pupils to look at the picture and say what Ann and Dan are doing on it (now).

Pay pupils’ attention to the first part of the table and ask pupils to say what the children usually do.

Then ask pupils to look at the picture and say what the children are doing now.

Tell pupils they can read the example in silence.

Now ask pupils to make sentences as in an example and write them in their exercise books. Some bright pupils can write the sentences on the board too.

Pair work: Then ask pupils to ask each other questions and give answers about the rooms.

Pupils may also be asked to write answers in their exercise books and on the board.

One or two pairs act out the dialogue in front of the classroom.

Repeat with several different pupils
