Examineeachforkforanysignofdamage,scratchingoftheslidersurface,orforoilleaks.

Ifanydamageoroilleakage isfoundconsultanauthorisedTriumphdealer.

Checkthattheforksoperatesmoothlyasfollows:Positionthemotorcycleonlevelground.

Whileholdingthehandlebarsandapplyingthefrontbrake,pumptheforksupanddownseveraltimes.

Inspectingforks

Ifroughnessorexcessivestiffnessisdetected,consultyourauthorisedTriumphdealer.

Removal

1. Raiseandsupport thefrontofthemotorcycle.

2. Removethefrontwheelasdescribedonpage

16.6.

3. Detachandsupportthefrontbrakecalipers.

4. Removethefrontmudguardasdescribedonpage17.10.

5. Slackenthetopyokeclampbolts.

1.Positiontheforkwithintheyokessothatthelipoftheoutertubeisflushwiththeuppersurfaceofthetopyoke.

1. Removetheforksasdescribedonpage14.4.

2. Securetheforkinasoftjawedvice,gentlyclampingitonthecalipermounting.
