1. Lubricatethesensor'O'-ringwithasmearofpetroleumjelly.

2. Manuallypushthesecondthrottletothefullyopenposition.

3.Withthesecondthrottlestillheldinthefullyopenposition,insertthesensortothethrottlebodyattheangleshownbelowthenturnitclockwiseuntilthescrewholealignswiththethreadinthethrottlebody.

14. Disconnectthebattery,negative(black)leadfirst.

15. Checkthatthethrottleopensandcloseswithoutobstruction/stickingandhasasmoothactionthroughoutthefullrangeofitsmovement.Rectifyasnecessary.

Connectthediagnostictoolandscroll throughtotheCHECK/ADJUSTmenu,selectCHECKthenselectthe'READSENSORS'followedbytheVOLTAGESand SENSORSoption.

Scrollthroughthedatauntilthesecondthrottlepositionsensorvoltageisdisplayed.

8. Gentlyrotatethenewthrottlepositionsensoruntilthevoltagereadingonthetoolshows0.6volts+/-0.02volts.

9. Tightenthesensorretainingscrewto3.5Nmandrecheckthevoltagereadingshownonthetool.Repeattheadjustmentifthereadingisoutsidethespecifiedrange.

10. Disconnectthediagnostictool.

Movethehandlebarstoleftandrightfulllockwhilecheckingthatcablesandharnessesdo notbind.Acableorharnessthatbindswillrestrictthesteeringandmaycauselossofcontrolandanaccident.

Removal

1. Removetherider'sseat.

2. Disconnectthebattery,negative(black)leadfirst.

3. Removethethrottlebodiesasdescribedonpage

4. Removethenut,metalwasherandplasticwasherattachingtheidlecontrolstepperarmtotheidlespeedcontrollever.

7.Removethetwoscrewssecuringtheidlespeedcontrolsteppermotortoitsbracket,thenremovethesteppermotor.

5. Usingthelinkage,ratherthanthebutterflyplates,fullyopentheprimarythrottlebyhand.

1. Turntheidlespeedcontrolleveruntilitthesteppermotorcanbefittedwithoutobstruction ofanykind.

2. Locatethesteppermotortoits bracketandtightenthefixingsto3.5Nm.

themetalwasherandnut.

4. Refitthethrottlebodiesasdescribedearlierinthissection,butdonotfittheintakecover.

5. Temporarilyreconnectthebattery,positive(red)leadfirst.

6. Turnthe ignitiontotheONposition.

7. Connecttheservicediagnostictoolandscrollthroughto,andselectthe'ADJUSTTUNE'option.
