Installation

1.Lubricatethesensor'O'-ringwithasmearofpetroleumjelly.

2.Insertthesensortothethrottlebodyattheangleshownbelowthenturnitanti-clockwiseuntil thescrewholealignswiththethreadinthethrottlebody.

1. SensorInsertionposition(dottedline)

2. SensorInitialfittedposition(solidline)

3. InserttheToriescrewtosecurethethrottlepotentiometer,butdonotfullytightenthescrewyet.

4. Refitthethrottlebodiesasdescribedonpage

5. Temporarilyreconnectthebattery,positive(red)leadfirst.

6. Connectthediagnostictoolandscrollthroughto,andselectthe'ADJUSTTUNE'option.

7. Atthenext screen,alignthecursorwithTHROTTLE POTRENEW(seebelow)thenpressthevalidationkeywhichismarked,.,.

8. Onpressingthevalidationkey,thediagnostictoolwillsendacommand,whichdrivestheprimarythrottletothefullyclosedposition.Thetoolwillalsodisplaythevoltagereadingcomingfromthethrottlepositionsensor.

9. Gentlyrotatethenewthrottlepositionsensoruntilthevoltagereadingonthetoolshows0.6volts+/-0.02volts.

Note:

• Thisisasettingvoltageonly.Because oftheadaptivenatureoftheenginemanagementsystem,in-servicevoltagemayvaryfromthissettingfigure.

10.Tightenthesensorretainingscrewto3.5Nmandrecheckthevoltagereadingshownonthetool.Repeattheadjustmentifthereadingisoutsidethespecifiedrange.

11. Pressthevalidationkeymarked,.,toreturnthethrottletonormalcontrolandreturnthediagnostictooltotheADJUSTTUNEmenu.

12. Disconnectthediagnostictool.

13. Disconnectthebatterynegative{black)leadfirst.

14. Checkthatthethrottleopensandcloseswithoutobstruction/stickingandhasasmoothactionthroughout thefullrangeofitsmovement.Rectifyasnecessary.

Removal

1. Removetherider'sseat.

2. Disconnectthebattery,negative(black}leadfirst.

3. Removethethrottle bodiesasdescribedonpage

4. RemovetheTorxscrewsecuringthesecondarythrottlepositionsensortothethrottlebody.
