• RocketIllthrottlescannotbebalancedusingequipmenttomeasurevacuumineachthrottle.Instead,theTriumphdiagnostictoolmustbeused.

1. Removetheintakecoverasdescribedonpage

11.98toallow accesstotheadjusterscrews.

2. Connectthediagnostictool,starttheengineandnavigateto'ADJUSTMENTS'asdescribedinsection11.24.

• Thebalancethrottlescreensshowthevacuumvalueofeachthrottleinmm/hg.Inaddition,whenthethrottlesarebalancedtoanacceptablerangeofeachother,theword'balanced' willappearinthetoprighthandcornerofthescreen.Atthispoint,nofurtheradjustmentisnecessaryorproductive.

4.Removetheintakeplenumchamber(seepage11.107)andmakeadjustmentsuntiltheword'BALANCED'appearsinthetoprighthandcornerofthescreen.Adjustersarelocatedoneachthrottleasshowninthediagrambelow.

1. Removetherider'sseat

2. Disconnectthebatterynegative(black) leadfirst.

3. Raiseandpropthefueltankasdescribedonpage11.98.

4. Notingtheirorientation,releasethethreeclipssecuringtheintakeplenumtothethrottle bodies.

6. Carefullydetachtheintakeplenumfromthethrottlebodiesandintakeduct.Placetheintakeplenumaside.
