2. Continuetosupportthetankwhilerefittingtheproptothetwoclipsontheoutsidesideofthecoilbracket.

3. Lowerthetankintopositionandsecurewiththeforwardfixing.Tighten thefixing to9Nm.

4. Refittheintakecoverasfollows;alignthecovertothecentrestudsandeaseitintoplace.Fitandtightenthetwoscrewsto 9Nm.

5. Pivottheinstrumentsintoplace. Fitthetwoscrewsandtightento3Nm.

6. Reconnectthebattery,positive(red)leadfirst.

Fueltank-removal

1. Raiseandpropthetankasdescribedonpage

11.98.

2. Makeanoteof,ormarkthepositionofthetwobreatherhosesatthefrontleftsideofthetank,beforedisconnectingbothhoses.

Note:

• Thefuelsupplysystemisfittedwithacheckvalvetopreventfuelflowfromthetankwhenthehoseisdisconnected.Itisnotnecessarytoplugtheconnection.

3.Disconnect thefuelpipefromthefuelpumpplateinthebaseofthetankanddiscardthesealingwashers.Drainthepipecontentsintoasuitablefuelcontainer.

Fueltank-refit

1. Positionthe fueltanktotheframeandinstalltherearmountingbolt.

2. Pivotthefrontofthetankupwardsatthefrontandrefitthetankproptothe frameandtank

3. Tightentherearfueltankmountingboltto9Nm.

4. Incorporatingnewwashers,refitthefuelhoseandtightentheunionto15Nm.

5. Reconnecttheelectricalsupplyto thefuelpumpplate.

6. Connectthebreatherhosesasnoted/markedpriortoremoval.

7. Lowerandsecurethefueltankasdescribedonpage11.99.

FuelPump,FilterandPressureRegulator

Removal

1. Removethefueltankasdescribedonpage

11.100.

2. Usingproprietaryprofessionalautomotiveworkshopequipmentapprovedforfuelhandling,drainallfuelfromthefueltank.

3. Invertthefueltankandplaceonaprotectivesurfacetopreventpaintdamage.

4. Releasetheringofnutssecuringthefuelpumpmountingplatetothetank.

5. Separatethepump/filter/regulatorassemblyfromthefueltank.Discardthepumpplateseal.

Note:

• Toremovethepressureregulator,filterandpump,componentsmustberemovedinsequence,asfollowsbelow/over.

6. Releasethe screw securing the pressureregulatortothemountingbar.

2. PressureregulatorNote:

   • Unlessitcannotbeavoided,donotcutthetiesecuringtheinternalwiringtothefuelpressureregulator.Instead,releasethetwowiringconnectorsfromthepumpplate(note ormarktheirpositionsbeforeremoval).

7.Toreleasethepressureregulator,releasethehoseclipsfromthepumpplateandfilterthengentlyeasetheregulator,linkpipeandhosesupwards.Placetheregulatoraside.

   • Priortoremovingthefilter,notethedirectionofthearrowonthesideofthefilter.Thearrowshouldpointawayfromthefuelpump,towardsthepressureregulator.

8. Toreleasethefilter,releasethehoseclipandgentlyeasethefilterfromtheinlethose.
