Ifthefaultiselectrical,thiswillthenbereportedasaOTC.

InstrumentPaneltest:Asignalissentwhichshouldcausethetachometertoreadapproximately7,500RPM,thewatertemperaturegaugetoshow1oo°C*andthespeedometer100km/h*, allfor10seconds.

Idlespeedcontrolstepper:Asignalissentwhichshouldcausethesteppertobedrivento thefullyclosedposition,thentothefullyopenposition,pausingbrieflyineachposition.OTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.

*Ortheimperialequivalents.

Purge valve(Californiamodelsonly):Thistestallowsyoutocheckoperationofthe valve.Todetectvalveoperation,useastethoscopetolistenforvalveoperation.OTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.

Fuelpumpprime:Thistestprovidesyouwiththemeanstophysicallycheckthepumpandrelayoperation. OTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.

Coolingfantest:Asignalissentwhichshouldcausethefantooperatefora10secondperiod.DTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.

Fuelpumpoperation:Thistestprovidesyouwiththemeanstophysicallycheckthepumpoperation.DTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.ThepumpisenergisedwhenthetestisconfirmedandendedwhentheValidationkey'*'ispressedforasecondtime.

Secondthrottlesteppermotor:Asignalissentwhichshouldcausethe2ndthrottlesteppertobedriventothefullyclosedposition,thentofullyopen.DTCsaresetifamalfunctionisfound.

BypressingtheValidationkey'*'.yourselectionwillbenotedand'FUNCTIONTEST'(operation21.)willbedisplayed.

PresstheHelpkey(?)formoreinformation.
