DiagnosticTroubleCodes
Diagnostictroublecodes(DTCs) areloggedintheECMmemorywhenthereisaconfirmedfaultinthesystem.Thecodes arereportedtotheTriumphdiagnostictoolasafourdigitcode.
Asmentionedearlier,whenthesystemdetectsafault,itbeginstocountthenumberoftimesthefaultoccursbeforeilluminatingtheMILandstoringafaultcode.
Similarly,ifafaultclears,the ECMalsorecordsthisfactandwillturnoffthe MILwhensufficientno-faultwarm-upcycleshavetakenplace.Anyfaultcodeswillremainin theECMmemoryuntiltherequirednumberofno-faultwarm-upcycleshavetakenplace.Thenumberofwarm-upcyclesrequiredtoextinguishtheMILwillalwaysbelessthanthenumberrequiredtoremoveaOTCfromtheECMmemory.DTCscanberemovedat anytimeusingtheTriumphdiagnostictool
