1. Removethethrottlebodiesasdescribedonpage

2. Draintheoiltankasdescribedonpage9.7.

3.Releasethespringclipsecuringthebreatherhosetothetank.Detachthehoseandremovethetank.

4. Releasethethreeboltssecuringtheoiltanktotheuppercrankcase.

5. Easetheoiltankupwardstodetachitfromthegalleryinthecrankcase.

6. Removethelinktubefromthecrankcasebypullinggentlyupwards.

Inspection

1. Checkthetankfordamage,deformationandsplits.Replacethetankasnecessary.

2. Checkthebreatherhosefordamage,splitsandsignsofcollapse.Replacethehoseasnecessary.

3. Thoroughly cleanthetankinsideandout.Ensurenodebrisremainsinsidethetank.

Installation

1. Fitanew0-ringstotheoiltankoutletandbothendsofthelinktube.Lubricatethe0-ringswithengineoilorpetroleumjelly.

2. Refitthelinktubetotheuppercrankcase.

3. Positionthetanktotheupper crankcaseandlinktube.

4.Locatetheoiltankoutlettothelinklubeensuringthe0-ringisnotdamagedordislodgedduringfitment.

5. Fitandtightentheoiltankscrews;to28Nm

(verticalfixings)and12Nm{horizontalfixing).

5. Attachthe breatherhoseandattachthespringclip.

Oiltransferpipesarefittedtothelowercrankcasetotransferoilto thetransmission.
