4. Clearances:

   1. Ifallclearancesarewithinservicelimits,liberallyapplycleanengineoiltoallinternalcomponentsandrefittheoilpumpplatetotheoilpumpbody.

   2. Ifanyclearancemeasuredisoutsidetheservicelimits,renewthecompletepump.

3. Inspectallthesprocketandchainforwearand/ordamage.Replacethesprocketandchainifwearand/ordamageisfound.

Installation

4.Positionthepressurepumpandspraybartothecrankcase,aligningthedrivebladeonthescavengepumpwiththedriveslotonthepressurepump.

1. Filltheoilpumpswithnewengineoil,turningthepumprotorsastheoilispouredintothepump.

2. Positionthescavengepumptothecrankcaseandengageittothemountingdowels.Ensurethedrivebladeisfacingtowardsthefrontoftheengine.

5.Cleanandexaminethemeshfilterforthepressurepumpbeforerefittingittothecrankcase.Replacethefilterifblocked,splitordamagedinanyway.

OilNon-ReturnValve

Theoilnon-returnvalve,whichpreventsoilfromdrainingfromtheoiltankwhiletheengineisnotrunning,islocatedintheuppercrankcase.Itcanberemovedbyeasingitgentlyfromthecrankcaseagainstthe0-ringthatsealsit.
