GeneralFrameInspection

1. Inspecttheframeandfootrestsforaccidentandotherdamage,cracks,splitsandgeneraldilapidations.Checkallfixingsforsecurity.Ifanyfaultsarefound,theframemustbereplaced.

2. Checktheoperationofthesidestandtomakesureitissecurelyheldintheretractedpositionbythespring.Rectifyanyfaults.

3. Inspectthebankangleindicatorsontherider'sfootrestsfor wear.Thebankangleindicatorsarewornoutwhenthe5mmofthebankanglepegremains.

Removal

Rider'sseat

Theseatlockislocatedattherearoftherighthandsidecover.Toremovetherider'sseat,inserttheignitionkeyintotheseatlockandturnitanti-clockwisewhilepressingdownontherearoftheseat.Thiswillreleasetheseatfromitslockandallowittobeslidupwardsforcompleteremovalfromthemotorcycle.

Seatlock

Torefittherider'sseat,engagetheseat'stongueunderthefueltankandpressdownatthereartoengageintheseatlock.

RearSeat

Removetherider'sseatandreleasethefixingssecuringtherearseattothemudguard.

Torefittherearseat,positionittotherearmudguardandtightenthethreefixingsto9Nm.Refittherider'sseat.

1. Removetheseatasdescribedonpage17.9.

2. Raisethetoolkit.

3. Releasethetwoscrewssecuringeachsidecovertotheframe.

   • Duringremovaloftherighthandsidecover,disengagetheseatlockfromtherearofthecover.

4.Raise each sidecoveruntilclearofthemountingposts.Thecoversmaythenberemovedfromthemotorcycle.

Installation

1. Ensurethatthemountingpostgrommetsarecorrectlyinstalledinthecoverbases.

2. Installthecoverstotheirmountingpostsensuringthegrommetsarenotdisplaced.Ensurethattherighthandcoverengagescorrectlyovertheseatlock.

3. Fitandtightenthecoverscrewsto9Nm.

4. Pivotthetoolkitintoplace.

5. Refittheseatasdescribedonpage17.9.

EngineInfillPanels

Engineinfillpanelsarefittedtotheframe,towardstherearoftheengine,onbothsidesofthemotorcycle.

Removal

1. Releasethetwoscrewssecuringeachpaneltotheframe.

2. Withdrawtheinfillpanel.Note:

   • Aconnectorbracketislocatedbehindtheinfillpanelonthelefthandside.

Installation

1. Positionthelefthandengineinfillpaneltotheframe.Alignthescrewholesinthepanelwiththoseintheconnectorbracketandframe.

2. Fitthescrewsandtightento3Nm.

3. Repeatfortherighthandpanel.Note:

   • Thereisnoconnectorbracketontherighthandside.

FrontMudguard

Removal

Beforestartingwork,ensurethemotorcycleisstabilisedandadequatelysupported.Thiswillhelppreventitfromfallingandcausinginjurytotheoperatorordamagetothemotorcycle.

1. Undothefixingssecuringthemudguardshroudstotheforklegs.

2. Mudguardshroudfixings

3. Forkleg

2. Detachbothshrouds.

3. Detachthebrakehosesfromtheirclipsoneachsideofthemudguard.
