The correct tyrepressures forRocketIllareshowninthetablebelow.Thetyrepressuresmustalwaysbecheckedandadjustedwhenthetyresarecold.

Asthetyretreadwearsdown,thetyrebecomesmoresusceptibletopunctureandfailure.Itisestimatedthat90%ofalltyrefailuresoccurduringthelast10%oftreadlife(90%worn).Itisfalseeconomyandunsafeto usetyresuntiltheyareworntotheirminimum.

Alltyresarefittedwithtreadwearindicators.Whenthetyrebecomesworndownasfarasthetopofatreadwearindicator,thetyreis wornbeyonditsservicelifeandmustbereplaced.Attentionmustalsobepaidtothelegallimitsfortreadwear,whichdifferfromcountrytocountry.Tyresthathaveworntothelegallimitinthecountryorregioninwhichthemotorcycleisoperatedmustbereplaced,eveniftreadwearhasnotyetreachedthelevelofthetreadwearindicators.

Inaccordancewiththescheduledmaintenancechart,measurethedepthofthetreadwithadepthgauge,andreplaceanytyrethathaswornto,orbeyondtheminimumallowabletreaddepth.

Inspectwheelsforcracks,splitsandkerbdamage.Alwaysreplacewheelsthataresuspectedofhavingbecomedamaged.
