1. Iffittingnewpads,usehandpressuretocompressthecaliperpistonsfullyintotheirbores.

2. Installtheanti-rattlespringintothecaliper.

3. Renewthebrakepadsasapairor,ifbothpadsareinaserviceablecondition,cleanthepadgroovesbeforefittingthem.

3. Lubricatethepadretainingpinusingaminimumamountofproprietaryhightemperature'Copperslip'typegrease.Refitthepinandretainwithboth'R'clips.

4. Positionthespacerbetweenthewheelhubandcalipercarrier.

6. Positionthecaliperandcarrieroverthediscensuringbothpadsarecorrectlyalignedeithersideofthedisc.

7. Alignthecalipercarrierwiththewheelspindle,spacerandswingingarm.Onceinalignment,pushthewheelspindlethroughthespacerandcalipercarrier.

8. Alignthecalipercarriertothetorquereactionfixingpoint.Onceinalignment,fitthetorquereactionbolt.

9. Tightenthewheelspindlenutto11ONmandthetorquereactionboltto69Nm.

10. Ifpreviouslydisconnected,incorporatingnewwasherstoeachsideoftheunion,fitandtightenthebrakeunionboltto25 Nm.

10. If thebrakehosehasbeendisconnected,bleedtherear brakeasdescribedonpage15.20.

11. Pumpthebrakepedaltocorrectlypositionthecaliperpistons.

14. Checktheoperationoftherearbrake.Rectifyasnecessary.

1. Replaceanybrakediscifwornbeyondtheservicelimitorexceedsthediscrun-outlimit.
