Passive Voice – қимыл бөгде бір адам, субъект (зат) арқылы жасалатындығын білдіретін етістіктің түрі: is made – істелінеді, жасалады.

Murat built the house last month. – Мұрат өткен айда үй салды. (Active Voice.)

The house was built (by Murat) last month. – Үй өткен айда салынды (Мұратарқылы). (Passive Voice.)

Ағылшын тілінде ырықсыз етістің болымды түрі, бастауыштан кейін келетін to be көмекші етістігінің негізгі етіске сәйкестендірілген формасы мен өткен шақ есімше (Participle II), негізгі етістігінің тіркесуінен жасалады:

to be + Participle II

These apples are grown in Almaty. – Бұл алмалар Алматыда өсіріледі.

Етістің болымсыз түрі to be көмекші етістігінен кейін болымсыз not демеулігі мен Past Participle (Participle II) қолданылуы арқылы жасалады:

to be not + Participle II
