Контрольная работа № 4

Чтобы правильно выполнить задание № 4, необходимо усвоить следующие разделы курса английского языка по рекомендованному учебнику:

a) Сложные формы инфинитива (Passive Infinitive, Perfect Infinitive). Обороты, равнозначные придаточным предложениям: объектный инфинитивный оборот, субъектный инфинитивный оборот.

б) Причастия (Participle I, II). Независимый причастный оборот (самостоятельный) причастный оборот.

в) Условные предложения.

Тренировочные упражнения

1). Вставьте частицу «to» перед инфинитивом, где необходимо.

2). Переведите предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на Perfect Infinitive.

  19. She can’t have been revising for her exam yesterday.

  20. He looks tired. He seems to have been studying for the test all night.

3). Переведите предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на Passive Infinitive.

  1. It’s nice to love and to be loved.

  2. He is one to be cheated.

  3. There’s nothing to be done. He already knows the bad news.

  4. There is just one thing to be done about this. Leave it as it is.

  5. The room is empty. There are no children to be seen.

  6. There was no sound to be heard.

  7. A lot of questions remain to be answered.

  8. There were many things to be done: the dishes to be washed out, the floor to be swept, the clothes to be ironed.

  9. He wishes to be given some money.

  10. He doesn’t like to be talked about.
