Повторим считалку №15 и счет до 12. Попробуем позаниматься арифметикой. Сначала пишем на доске или на бумаге элементарный примеры на сложение и вычитание и просим ребят сперва по-русски, а потом по-английски назвать ответ. Затем усложняем задание. Примеры не пишем, а произносим по-английски, предлагая детям ответить, например:
three plus two are … five.
seven minus one are… six.
На последующих уроках дети должны будут сначала повторять сформулированный преподавателем пример, завершив его ответом, а затем и формулировать примеры на английском языке самостоятельно.
Далее научимся считать до 19. Запомним, что для этого к соответствующему числу первого десятка необходимо прибавить ударный суффикс: -teen [‘ti:n]. Таким образом, слово получается двуударным. Прочитаем пример:

Теперь прочитаем и постараемся догадаться, какие числа означают слова:

Названия двух чисел придется запомнить, так как они образуются с изменениями. В корне слова:
