2.1. DTs and culture correlation – why and for what

Everybody can understand that digital technologies make our life better and easier. They come in to our life. Our life depends on and belongs to computers, microprocessor and other digital devices. You can meet digital devices everywhere – not only in secret researching laboratories, not, for example, in your kitchen, in your bathroom, and of course in your study.

So, you meet devices based on digital technologies very often.

But you can meet culture together with something connected with digital technologies. People correlate culture and digital technology to get more simple access to some cultural manifestations.

4.2. Correlations:

3.2.1. Computers correlate with everything

Practically computers can correlate with everything. People have made many ‘jobs’ for computers, because they can do practically everything.

So, let’s speak about the manifestations of culture, which can correlate with computers.

You can work with all culture manifestations on computer. With special software you can work with paintings, films, books, texts, music, sculpture and even science, if you want.

People use computers not to move at long distances to see all the galleries of the world. They just insert the CD with all the famous paintings and explore them.

People also use computers to make hard mathematical and architectural calculations, to make pictures, to edit photos etc.

Some people use computers with the Internet access to work with all the above-mentioned things.

4.2.2. Television helps us

The television helps us to see some culture manifestations. It’s used with some gains of using computers – to see paintings, sculptures etc. There are many special TV programmes for that people who won’t visit some faraway galleries because of money problem. So, television helps us to join the cultural life too.

5.2.3. Internet and other networks

The Internet and all other networks are used with the same gains as computer. We can say that networks help us to find out something [in our case – some cultural manifestations] and to get it.

People use Internet and LAN [Local Area Network] for this. They look for specialized places [sites or servers] connected with the information they need and try to load it on their computers.

So, networks help the information to circulate around the world [Internet is worldwide Network].

6.2.4. Digital data storage units help us

All educated people know that the information independently of its form needs some pace to keep it. The cultural manifestations are information too. So, they need some storage areas.

That’s why people build a lot of storage places – libraries, galleries, shows etc. Some of them are really vast. That factor stops the access time. I mean that if there is much information, people can’t find it at a moment. They spoil time to find what they want.

But don’t forget about digital technologies! All information that people store in vast uncomfortable storages can be stored in some disks powerful computers. I think it will be very good to make the following system of data keeping: all cultural manifestations that people need can be digitized and transformed into a special virtual libraries etc. That system can gives momental access to the information you want, it can give you great possibility if searching through it, it can allow you to copy something to your computer… So, why don’t we organize special digital culture world with all the information that people know? This system can be based on modern networks like FIDO and Internet and the main problem will be the process of collecting of the information. But it will be the most successful project in the world.

So, digital technologies and culture play important role in our life and correlation of these two great things is the great thing too.
