Особые фонетические явления
Аспирация (aspiration) - придыхание, шум выходящего воздуха при быстром удалении преграды. В английском языке аспирированны: [t], [k], [p]
Явление носового взрыва. Сочетания согласных [t], [d], [k], [p] с последующими носовыми сонантами [n] или [m] произносятся слитно. Например, garden.
Латеральный взрыв. Сонант [l] с предшествующими согласным [t], [d], [k], [p], [g] произносятся слитно. Например, little.
