Присвійні займенники (possessive pronouns)

Присвійні займенники мають дві форми: залежну і не­залежну (Absolute).

Присвійні займенники в залежній формі вживаються перед імен­ником. Вони ще називають­ся займенниками-прикметниками:

My son is very clever. - Мій син дуже розумний.

Незалежна форма особових займенників вживається самостійно, без іменника, який вони заміняють. Вони називаються займенниками- іменниками.

This is your bag. And that is mine. - Це твоя сумка. А це — моя.

It’s no business of yours. - Це не твоя справа.

B: Do you like Anna's spaghetti sauce? I think (her/ hers) is too salty. A: Maybe. (My / Mine) husband makes good spaghetti sauce too. (His / He) is thick and rich. B: In truth, making spaghetti sauce is easy, but everyone's sauce is just a little different.
