3. Use the structures in the sentences of your own.

1. What I really needed was a trip to France. What he really needed was training. What I really lacked was experience. What she really dreamed of was a good command of French. What he really needed was a good education.

2. I will say this for Ann, she taught me a lot. I will say this for Mr. A., he made me work-hard. I will say this for Ed, he taught me to think. I will say this for N., he made me love school. I will say this for Sue, she was a kind soul. I will say this for Dick, he aroused my interest in art.

3. I don't know whether he felt as I did on those occasions. I don't know whether she thought as I did under the circumstances. I doubt whether she suffered as I did during my trip. I've no idea whether he felt as I did among those foreigners.

4. Find the word-combinations that fit definitions below.
