6.2. Suggested waste collection ways in the residential areas and streets.

I do repeat: clean recycling means separate collection, separate sorting and packaging, separate storage. Transportation of waste is strictly scheduled to avoid overflow of big-bags and containers. One loader vehicle do serves the territory of whole area or island. It replaces containers and big-bags with its loader machinery. The collection would rather to be performed by non-local, immigrants – to avoid stealing. Former collectors are to be reassigned to controlled areas (farming, planting trees, etc).

6.3. Planned collection ways at the area of Vedic Planetarium (isckon-Mayapur).

The system of vacuum collection and transportation is planned to work under ground and above; on all storeys of the building (rubbish chutes, half a meter in diameter); on neighbor areas. Two types of containers to be used: for organic and non-organic waste. Cleaning of containers, transportation and managing is performed by automatic computerized system which displays the information on a screen. The system of rubbish chutes and containers is planned to be install independently (it is about purchasing pipes and tubing, the vacuum system with controls is planned to be bought in Envac).

7.Waste sorting

7.1.Primary sorting (stage 1, table sketch)

For small settlements there is an idea of a small table installation.

All secondary material resources (SMR): paper, rubber, polymers, glass, wood, metals, organics, bones, leather, shingles, stones, sand, diapers, hazardous waste (HW), mercury lamps, thermometers, batteries, hazardous chemical substances (HCS), hazardous chemical liquids (HCL). All that stuff is stored, packed, pressed into briquettes and sold as raw-stuff. HW, HCS, HCL are stored in special places to get transported to secial utilization factories.

7.2.Recycling complex’ building description

Recycling complex’ performance is based on the idea of getting the shortest way from waste to recycled stuff, with no unwanted extra activities or transit storage of waste. All waste is loaded by multi-elevator, private vehicles, and vacuum system (up to 5th floor).

Clean, unpressed and dry waste is easily and quickly sorted into departments. Because of gravity and using of a system of waste-pipes and rubbish-chutes they go strictly to a recycling place.

7.3. Waste in a recycling complex (a closer look inside)

As soon as waste is here, here comes weighing, pretreatment and loading into slide-ways chute. Via these chutes waste goes to 4th floor to the “1st zone” of sorting (packages with waste get cut and uniformly distributed on the conveyor lines). As soon as solid waste is distributed, a sorter man gives a signal for conveyor to move 4 meters forward – so solid waste goes to the “2nd zone”.
