T: The topic of our today’s lesson is “Out and about in Greenwich” (Напис на дошці).

At our lesson we’ll make а trip to Greenweech. It’s one of the oldest and most interesting cities in the Great Britan. Are you ready?

1. Введення в атмосферу іншомовного спілкування

T: But at first let’s practice some English sounds. Children, look at the blackboard. There are some sounds- [au], [ou] Repeat after me. Now give me your examples of the words with these sounds.

[au] – town, sound, down, how, brown, without…

[ou] – snow, ...

(Учні називають слова із поданими звуками)

2. Мовна зарядка. Повторення вивчених лексичних одиниць

T: And now let’s review all the words which will help us in our journey. You have cards. I’ll name the letter, you must show the card, name the word which begins with this letter and translate it into Ukrainian.

(Учні отримують картки із зображенням міських будівель (додаток 1). Вчитель називає літери. Учні мають показати картинку і назвати слово, яке цією літерою починається).

а). Прослуховування

T: And now, ladies and gentlemen. We welcome you to Greenwich.

T: First of all let’s listen to the audio. “Out and about in Greenwich” (p. 56)

(Вчитель включає аудіо запис, учні уважно слухають).

b). Читання

Т: We already have listened this text and now let’s read and translate it.

(Учні в парах читають і перекладають текст, звертаючись у разі необхідності до вчителя; записують незнайомі слова у словники).

с). Перевірка розуміння прочитаного

T: You have just visited some interesting places in Greenwech. Let’s see how well

you know them.

(Показую ілюстрації деяких визначних пам'яток міста Грінвіч (додаток 2).

T: What is it? What is it famous for?

(Учні називають ці пам’ятки і коротко розповідають про них).

T: OK. Your memory is good. Now, check up what you have learnt about these sights, how attentive you are.

Do ex. 1, p. 56 in written form.

(Учні письмово виконують завдання вправи,потім зачитують свої відповіді ).

T : Are you tired? Let’s do some exercises! Watch, listen and do!

(Учитель говорить слова вірша декілька разів та виконує дії, а учні повторюють дії за ним).
