Dear Terry,

Greetings from Cairo! I'm on holiday here. The weather is very hot and I'm having a wonderful time. I'm staying with my friend, Abdullah. He lives in the centre of Cairo.

On Monday we visited Khan al-Khalili bazaar. You can't imagine how noisy and crowded it was! I bought some lovely handmade souvenirs there. On Tuesday I saw the Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza. They were amazing. I even rode a camel. It was fun! The next day Abdullah took me to a traditional restaurant. I tried couscous and falafel. The place was fantastic and the food was just delicious. On Thursday we decided to visit the Egyptian Museum. Among the exhibits I saw a Pharaon's mask, statues of lions and others. We also visited Luxor - place famous for its huge temples and statues - on Friday. We didn't have time to go on a boat trip down the river Nile but I hope tomorrow we'll manage to do it. All in all Cairo is a fascinating city - you must visit it one day!
