My Family

My family is not very large. We are four. My father's name is Ivan Shevchenko. He is 45 years old. He is a worker at a big plant. He is fond of hunt­ing and fishing. Sometimes he goes to the stadium. He likes to watch football matches there.

My mother's name is Maria. She is 40 years old. She is a teacher. She teaches geography. She likes her job very much. She is fond of cooking.

My sister is a schoolgirl. Her name is Natalka. She is young. She is only 14 years old. Natalka is a nice girl. She is fond of music. She is also fond of read­ing books. She is always busy with her books. Natalka likes Ukrainian, English and French literature.

All the members of our family are good friends. Sometimes we go to the park or to the cinema in the evening. At weekends we often go to the village. My grandparents live there. They are pensioners. They like gardening. They spend a lot of their time in the garden. They grow vegetables and fruits. We enjoy having fresh vegetables and fruits on our dinner table.
