Why is it Necessary to Learn English?

It is very necessary and important to learn English now, because English is the language of the planet. English is the ideal language for many governments around the world, and it is also prominent in business, education, world news, and communication. Hundreds of books, magazines and newspapers are printed in English and read all over the world. Half of the world's scientific literature is written in English.

Every year thousands of people from Ukraine go to different countries as tourists or to work and they can't go without knowing the language of the country they are going to, but they can speak English, because it is an international language. A modern engineer or even a worker cannot work without instruments or a machine if he cannot read the instruction how to use it. A scientist, a historian, a diplomat are, as a rule, polyglots, because they need foreign languages for their work. If you want to be a stewardess or a pilot you must learn English, because it is a language of international communication.

If you want to be successful in International business, learning English is very important. In many places such as Asia, Africa, and South America, the ability to learn English will determine who will increase their living standards, and who will remain in poverty. Nowadays more and more people learn English by means of Internet.

Before the Internet, it was hard for you to learn English if you didn't attend a college or university. These were the only institutions where the language was widely spoken. If you lived in a community so poor that it didn't have a college or university, your chances of ever learning English were remote. The Internet helped the English language to spread around the word.

The Internet has opened up new career opportunities. Now the people can learn English using Internet, and they can use their English skills to get better paying jobs at home, or they can use them to find jobs overseas.

In many countries where English is not the native language, you are considered highly educated if you can speak the language properly. You will be presented with a number of career opportunities, and you will have the option of staying home to work, or you could travel abroad. When you learn how to speak English, the opportunities are limitless.
