Safety Position Brief Instructions
1) short distance between chairs
Fasten seatbelt.
Push the seatback in front of you forward.
Place your crossed arms on it.
Press your forehead firmly against your arms.
Knees together, feet apart.
2) for a pregnant woman / stout passenger
Fasten seatbelt under your belly.
Push the seatback in front of you forward.
Lean down as far as possible.
Cross your arms on your knees.
Hold onto your clothes firmly.
Feet apart.
3) for a baby/a child under 2 years old
Fasten seatbelt, but do not fasten your baby.
Lay the baby across the lap, the head to the window.
Support the baby’s head with one arm.
Lean forward over the baby.
Fix the baby’s legs and protect your head with the other arm.
Airbus 320 Cabin Crew
1R: I’m responsible for serving of business class passengers and flight crew during the flight. I check catering equipment in the front galley. All heating ovens and boilers must be operative. I check life vests under each seat from the 1st to the 14th row to the right. I check sanitary conditions of the front toilet. It must meet the requirements. I check automatic fire extinguisher in the front toilet. It must not be expired and the seal must be intact. I check the pressure in the emergency exit. I check 2 portable oxygen bottles, 4 oxygen masks, 1 radio beacon and 1 biohazard kit in the overhead stowage. All items of movable safety equipment must be present and complete (smoke hoods, flashlight, crew life vests, oxygen release tool, safety information folder). I check my CA’s station. I receive business kits, napkins, pillows, blankets for business class PAXs and also I receive food & drinks for flight crew and business class PAXs. I carry 1 first aid kit on board. I check the level of air tightness in the right slide. In case of emergency I’m responsible for the 1st right door.
3R: If I perform duties of 3R, I receive food & drinks for economy class PAX and cabin crew on board. I check all catering equipment in the galley-pantry. I check emergency equipment in the overhead stowage in my zone and my CA’s station. All items of movable safety equipment must be present and complete (smoke hoods, flashlight, crew life vests, oxygen release tool, fire proof gloves, safety information folder). I check life vests under each seat from the 15th to the 27th row to the right. I demonstrate safety equipment in the economy class cabin and serve PAX there during the flight. I carry 1 first aid kit on board. In case of emergency I’m responsible for the 3rd right door.
3L: If I perform duties of 3L, I check emergency equipment in the overhead stowage in my zone and my CA’s station. All items of movable safety equipment must be present and complete (smoke hoods, torch, crew life vests, oxygen release tool, ELT beacon, 10 baby belts/extension seat belts, safety information folder). I check life vests under each seat from the 15th to the 27th row to the left. I check cargo compartment. The sanitary conditions of cargo holds must meet the requirements. check the number of lashing nets. Lighting must be operative. I receive cargo, baggage and documents for loaded cargo. During the flight I work in the galley and assist in serving PAXs. I carry 1 first aid kit and 1 drugs kit on board. In case of emergency I evacuate PAXs through the 3rd left door.
3RC: I check live vests under each seat from the 1st to the 14th row to the left. I check sanitary conditions of the rear toilets. It must meet the requirements. I check automatic fire extinguisher in the rear lavatory. It must not be expired and the seal must be intact. I check my CA’s station and I check 2 demo kits, 2 portable oxygen bottles, 4 oxygen masks, 10 infant live vests, 10 extra adult life vests, 5 baby belts/extension seat belts and 1 demo kit. I check megaphone by squeezing a trigger. I receive napkins, table clothes, disposable headrest covers and other staff. I carry 1 first aid kit on board. I serve economy class PAX during the flight. In case of emergency I evacuate PAXs through hatches on the wings.
1L: I check the main door. I check main, dim, emergency lighting. I check public address system and my CA’s station. All items of movable safety equipment must be present and complete (smoke hoods, torch, crew life vests, oxygen release tool, safety information folder). I designate CAs responsible for each area. I read information and I’m responsible to the captain.
