First of all let me introduce myself. My name is(…). I am sixteen years old.
My family lives in (…) in one of the residential areas. My parents have two more kids besides me. Thus I have got an elder brother (…) and a younger sister(...). My sister is a schoolgirl. She is fourteen. My brother is five years my senior. So he is twenty-four already. He is a designer by profession. He is married. His wife is a telephone-operator. They are four in the family. He has two children — a son and a daughter. They are twins. They are lovely little kids with golden hair and blue eyes.
My parents are not old at all. Daddy is fourty-seven and my Mum is three years his junior. My father is an architect and my mother is a hairdresser. They like their work very much.
My grandparents are already pensioners, but they are still full of life and energy. I have many relatives — aunts, uncles, cousins.
I am fond of reading books on history and science fiction. I go in for sports. I like playing football, basketball and chess. Especially I’m good at chess.
We always try to spend as much time together as possible. I love my family very much and I want them to be happy.
Read and dramatize the following dialogues:
A: Now, I’d like to know about your family.
B: Oh, my family is a very large one. I have a father, a mother, grandparents, two sisters and a brother.
A: Do you all live together?
В: Yes, we do, and it’s a remarkable thing, by the way, that we practically never quarrel.
A: Besides your immediate relatives you must also have some uncles and aunts and some cousins.
B: Yes, several. Every now and then they come to see us at our place or we go to see them.
A: I wonder who does the cooking and looks after the house.
B\ It’s all in the hands of my mother. Of course, my sisters help her. Now tell me something about your family.
