Reflexive pronouns are derived from some personal pronouns and possessive pronouns by adding to them the elements -self (in singular) and -selves (in plural). The first element has strong and weak forms of the corresponding personal and possessive pronouns (see 6.1., 6.2.).

Weak forms are used when a reflexive pronoun becomes an Object.

e .g. She washed herself and went to bed. /SI wPSt hqself qnd 'went tq bed/

Strong forms are used when a reflexive pronoun becomes an Apposition.

e .g. She washed them herself. /SI wPSt Dqm hE: self/
