Hi, Mary! :)
Thanks for your letter. I’m glad to tell you about myself and my family.
So, as you know, my name is Nick Jefferson. I am sixteen years old and I go to school. My family lives in LA, in one of the residential areas. My parents have two more children besides me. Thus I have got an elder brother, Fred, and a younger sister, Jess. My sister is a schoolgirl, too. She is thirteen. My brother is eight years older. So he is twenty-four already. He is a designer. He is married. His wife is a journalist. They are four of them in the family. They have two children – a son and a daughter. They are twins. They are lovely little children with golden hair and dark blue eyes.:)))))
My parents are not old at all. Dad is forty-eight and Mum is three years younger. My grandparents are already pensioners, but they are still full of life and energy. I have many relatives : aunts, uncles, cousins. At Christmas we always gather together and have fun
My father is an engineer in computers and my mother is a teacher of English at the University. They like their work very much. But they spend much time there :((((
I am fond of reading fiction and history books. I am keen on sport. I like playing football (soccer), basketball and chess. I am especially good at chess. I take part in different chess competitions and tournaments. My family always supports me during competitions.
In a year, I will finish school and I have to decide what to do either to apply for a job or study. Actually, I study well and I am making some progress in liberal arts. I am particularly interested in history, literature and languages. So I am going to enter the University.
So, now tell me about your family. Is it large? Do you have sisters or brothers? What are your family traditions?
I’m waiting for your answer and wish you good luck.
Bye!
P.S. I attached you some of our family photos. Hope, you’ll like them.
