Rise-fall-rise

The Rise-Fall-Rise (RFR циркумфлексный или с двойным изгибом) begins from a fairly low pitch, then reaches a high level and then falls to a low pitch and then rises a little below the medium pitch. e.g. ^/ No.

The RFR is an implicatory tone that is it gives the impression that something has been left unsaid and that the speaker expects his listener to imagine the extra-meaning.

Semantically the RFR is similar to the Fall-Rise, but it suggests also optimism and enthusiasm. It conveys a person’s emotional state, feelings which are not expressed verbally.

There is no such tone in Russian.

Level tones

There are 3 types of Level Tones: High, Mid and Low.

They are pronounced at different levels: high, medium and low ones, respectively. The most frequently used tone is the Mid Level Tone. It is non-final and non-categoric in character. It may express hesitation and uncertainty and it is often used in reciting poems to keep them go smoothly on.

It is also often used in adverbials of time, condition, parentheses.
