I am going to become a dentist. Now I am a University student. I take a course of dentistry at the University. The course lasts for five years. We have lectures and practical lessons every day. I come to the University at about nine and go to the classroom. I take my books and notebook out of my bad and put them on the desk. The desk I usually sit is at the window, in front of the instructor’s table. Behind the table there is a blackboard. At nine o’clock the instructor comes into the room, greets us and the lesson begins. Lectures are delivered in the lecture room. After lessons I usually go to the student’s canteen for lunch and then to the library where I stay till late in the evening.

I come home from the University, do my home task and have a short rest. I have a dream to be a skilled dentist.

ULCER

Ulcer is a chronic disease, which affects a person’s stomach. Factors, which contribute to ulcer are as follows: heredity, bad nourishment, drinks, smoking. They also say, that such bacteria as Helicobacter pylori is responsible for ulcer too. The main symptom of ulcer is a pain in the pancreas. The pain is felt periodically in autumn and in spring. It disappears after vomiting and after warming up the area. Initial pains (thirty or forty minutes after a meal) help discover ulcer in the stomach.

Besides paints, there are some other symptoms of ulcer: vomiting, head burn, belch, constipation. It is necessary to x-ray a patient to make a correct diagnosis. There may be some complications bleeding, for example. When there is bleeding in stomach, blood pressure falls, a patient feels very weak and suffers from headaches. In case of perforation a patient feels a very sharp pain. An argent operation must be performed.

Treatment.

Ulcer must be treated with medicines. A patient must keep on a diet physiotherapy must also be used.. a nurse must see to it that a patient should be comfortable both physically and psychologically. A patient must follow the diet number one. He mustn’t smoke or drink. A nurse plays an important role in preparing patient for different laboratory analysis. If a nurse notices some complication of the diseases or the worsening of the patient’s health, she must immediately inform a doctor about it. A nurses high professional training, attentive attitude to the patient and the doctor’s instructions will enable the patient to be cured from the disease.
