I love dancing Its my favorite hobby

I don't like ballet but I like salsa I go to salsa lessons after school The teacher is really good

At the end of the year we had a salsa show We had a lot of fun and everyone said we were very good We made a lot of money from the tickets

The money is to help sick children

Dancing takes lots of time

Sometimes I don't have time for my homework

And I want to watch television but I don't have time

That is my biggest problem

Use of English

Countable/ Uncountable nouns.

  • Countable nouns are those which we can count. They can be in singular or plural forms. e.g.: an apple, five apples

Use a/an with countable nouns in the singular. e.g.: a cap, an orange

Use a before consonant sounds (/d/, /b/, /k/ etc) e.g.: a dog

Use an before vowel sounds (/a/, /e/, /o/ etc) e.g.: an hour

Use the to talk about something that we have mentioned before or which is already known. e.g.: There is a book on the table. The book is thick.

  • Uncountable nouns are those which we cannot count. They can be only in singular number. e.g.: bread, meat

Use some with uncountable nouns. e.g.: some milk, some sugar

You can use countable and uncountable nouns in phrases of quantity such as: slice, piece, carton, loaf, kilo, packet, cup, bottle, glass + of e.g.: a bottle of milk, a kilo of apples
