The Future Continuous describes an action which is occurring at a particular time in future.

e.g.: At three o’clock tomorrow I will be watching an interesting film.

The construction to be going to expresses a conclusion regarding the immediate future or an action in the near future that has already been planned or prepared.

e.g.: I am going to visit my parents this weekend.
